Privacy Policy

Bad Times AI is an independent tool. It turns one photo of a person or a pet into a short video of the BAD TIMES argument lip-sync trend. The clip runs 10 to 30 seconds, as you pick.

We operate the website at badtimesai.com and the account, storage, and generation service behind it. We are not Imael Angel, the song's label, the trend's original creator, OpenAI, or Anthropic, and we are not affiliated with them.

This policy covers the website and the generation service.

Account. You sign in with Google or with a one-time code we send to your email address. With Google, we receive the account identifier, name, email address, and profile image that Google shares with us. With an email code, we receive your email address. We keep a session so you stay signed in.

Photos and videos. When you generate a video, you upload one photo (JPG, PNG, or WebP, each under 20 MB). We store those photos and the MP4 we generate so you can watch, download, and revisit the video in your studio history.

Credits and payments. We store your credit balance, grants, and the credits spent or returned for each video. If you buy a credit pack, Stripe handles the payment. We receive the purchase status, amount, currency, and a payment reference. We do not receive your full card number.

Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser, device type, and the time of the request. We use similar signals to limit repeated free-credit grants. If analytics or live chat is turned on, those tools receive the usage data described under Cookies.

We use this information to create and secure your account, generate the video you asked for, show your history, charge and return credits, detect abuse, and answer support messages.

We use the photos you upload only to create the video you requested and to show that video back to you. We never publish your photos or videos, show them to other users, or use them in our examples or marketing. We do not use your photos to train a model of our own, and we do not sell them.

A generation sends your photo, together with our BAD TIMES reference clip, to our video provider so it can render the MP4. The provider processes these files to complete your request.

People in the photos can be recognized in the result. Upload a photo only when you have the right to use it and the person has agreed to appear. Do not upload a photo of a child.

The result is an AI recreation. Faces, motion, and lip sync can be imperfect. It is not the original trend video, and it is not a statement by the people in the photos.

We do not sell personal information.

We share data with service providers only so they can run the product:

Google, to sign you in. Cloudflare, to host the site and API, store the database, store uploaded photos and generated videos, and send sign-in emails. APIMart, our video provider, to review your photos and render the video. APIMart passes them to ByteDance's Seedance video model, and to an OpenAI model that describes each photo's hairstyle so the video keeps your look. Stripe, when you buy credits, to take the payment. Google Analytics or OpenPanel, only if we have turned that analytics tool on, to understand page visits. Tawk.to, only if we have turned live chat on, to carry a support conversation.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we need it to investigate abuse, protect users, or respond to a legal claim. If the service moves to a new operator, the account and content records needed to keep it running move with it, and we update this policy.

We delete the photos you upload 30 days after the video is created. The generated video stays in your studio history, together with your account and credit history, while the account is open.

Email support@badtimesai.com to ask us to delete your account and the photos and videos stored for it sooner. We will close the account, end active sign-in sessions, and delete the uploads and generated videos we can still match to that account. We may keep a limited record when we need it for a legal duty, a dispute, fraud prevention, or a payment. Closing an account does not reverse a completed credit purchase.

Free credit grants can expire on their own. A failed generation returns the credits charged for that attempt.

Photos and videos are kept in private cloud storage. They can only be opened through long, hard-to-guess links that we show to you, and we never publish, list, or index them. The site is served over HTTPS. No online service can promise perfect security. Keep your sign-in method (your Google account or email inbox) under your control, and do not share a device that is already signed in.

We use a sign-in cookie to keep your session. The site may also store a preference such as language or theme in local storage on your device.

If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics or OpenPanel may set its own cookies or similar identifiers to count visits. If live chat is enabled, Tawk.to may set a cookie to keep the conversation. These tools stay off unless their identifiers are configured for the site. You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking the sign-in cookie will sign you out.

You can stop using the service at any time. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the account information, photos, and videos we hold about you, or to export a copy of them. Email support@badtimesai.com from the address on the account, and tell us what you want. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you.

Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights, including the right to object to certain processing or to complain to a privacy authority. This policy does not name a country of establishment. Write to us and we will handle the request under the law that applies to you.

Bad Times AI is not directed to children under 16. Do not create an account or upload a photo if you are under 16, and do not upload a photo of anyone under 16. If you believe we have an account or a photo of a child, email support@badtimesai.com and we will delete it.
